New Pillow

If I haven’t mentioned, I have been on a craft book kick. Today I made a pillow from ‘The Pillow Book’. The Button- enclosure Pillow was very simple. There was very little cutting and sewing. I wish I would have had better buttons but all and all I was very pleased with the outcome. The [...]

Fall Has Begun

The leaves are changing and beginning to fall. The days are still warm but the nights are wonderfully cool. While walking along a path yesterday I couldn’t help but notice all the changes. There were red and yellow leaves on the trees and the crunching of already fallen leaves under our feet. I love the [...]

I checked out a book called ‘Biscuit Bliss: 101 Foolproof Recipes for Fresh and Fluffy Biscuits in Just Minutes ‘  from the library. There are several great looking recipes throughout the [...]

Wonderfully Lazy Evening

Today has been one of those days. You know, it’s raining outside and there isn’t any part of you that wants to get off the couch to do anything. I decided that tonight I am curling up with my favorite throw, the new craft book I checked out from the library, and a couple lit candles. [...]

Cornmeal and Cheddar Cheese Muffins

We had baked chicken, fried apples, and cornmeal and cheddar cheese muffins for dinner tonight. I have been enjoying all the new baking recipes taken from Mom’s Big Book of Baking. Tonight’s muffins turned out great and were a big hit. They came out very fluffy and moist. These muffins are also easier to serve [...]

More Crafts From The Big Ass Book Of Crafts!

This project was inspired by the Silhouette plates from page 132 and 133. The directions and illistrations were very helpful. I did stray a little from what they had. When I added the silhouette of the butterfly i thought it would look good with some color. So I added color to the wings and then [...]

Easy Magnets

I have been in such a crafting frenzy as of late. I love the fact that my husband has been getting into crafting as well. Don’t get me wrong, you won’t find him sitting at home knitting or sewing but if it’s funky or has the possibility to be funky he is all in. My [...]
